Devon Rarities
The Devon Rarities book was produced as an exhibit for an Incidental Imagery exhibition in late 2009. Vicki decided to research and photograph some of Devon’s rarest plants and butterflies to highlight the diversity of flora and fauna that Devon has, and to draw attention to the plight of our natural world today. Having produced the book, Vicki arranged with the Devon Wildlife Trust for 25% of the profits from the book to go directly to them for their work locally. The book is a large coffee table book with amazing images and lots of information about various plants, butterflies and environments. The book is only available through Blurb and is printed to order. Although more expensive than some conventionally printed books, this is essentially an art piece too. It would grace any coffee table, raises money for a great cause and may be the only way you might get close to some very rare species.

A Spring Celebration
This book is not yet published. It is a children’s book produced using characters created from natural materials at the Exeter Steiner School. It tells the story of some gnomes who want to arrange a celebration for the beginning of spring but are nearly thwarted by the ‘Big Folk’ leaving rubbish at the party site. Every page is illustrated by a photograph of the characters in a scene; among the primroses, snowdrops, in the roots of trees and includes the gnome characters; Crouch, Dandelion & Cobnut, King Winter, the Blossom Children, Root Children and Mr Tidy Gnome. Vicki would love to find an interested publisher for this book!
